6 Ways to Integrate SEO into Every Team
When I started out in digital marketing, I sprinkled metadata and keywords into content like pout. I’m not proud of this because it not only dates me, but it also goes terribly against best practices as we see them today. If you ever read something like “vacation in california lovers and those who love vacation in california? For the best vacation in californialook no further than these vacation in california”, I send my deepest apologies.
Fast forward 20 years, now I’m happy to say organic. SEO Best Practices have dramatically improved, both for the vendor and the end user. As we move into 2023, it is more important than ever to remember that the search does not take place in a silo. It must be a well thought out and integrated strategy that encompasses the entire customer experience.
Not sure how to integrate SEO? We have six key ways to spread search integration across your organization when it comes to working with search engine optimization teams, agencies, or professionals.
Search meets research, people and audience journey
Search traffic provides a treasure trove of qualitative and quantitative information about the needs of your audience, vernacular, attitudesand more.
- Are people talking about your travel product by saying “vacation” or “trip”?
- Do high school students looking for information about their college of choice search for “ASU”, “Arizona State”, or “Arizona State University”?
- When searching for enterprise software, do your customers say “platform”, “tool” or “technology”?
Using search data helps you discern what will resonate best with your audience. Combine this with surveys, stakeholder interviews, and digital data, and you have a strong (and measurable) foundation for your personas and audience journeys.
When search teams share high-level keyword information across the organization, it can help support everything from media relations to product development to recruiting and more.
Integrate SEO and UX
According to “SEO for everyone” authors Rebekah Baggs and Chris Corak, seek and user experience teams should not be kept in separate tasks (or quite often within separate silos). These professionals or teams often have some of the same goals in mind: to make sure the site is easy to find, navigate, use, and enjoy. Although, they can approach the process of reaching the final goal differently.
Don’t let the idea of the perfect single keyword create tunnel vision—you want to see a bigger, more nuanced picture. An improved user experience means people stay on the page longer, engage more with your site, don’t click the back button, revisit your site, and share your content—all SEO benefits. The better the overall site experience (think UX, load times, mobile browsing, etc.), the more likely you are to make it to the coveted top ten in SERPs.
– Baggs and Corak
Search and… the off-site experience?
During my SEO days in the Britney and Justin era, I didn’t anticipate that I would be planning SEO before the site experience even began.
Today Google wants you to stay at Google.
Don’t let the idea of the perfect single keyword create tunnel vision—you want to see a bigger, more nuanced picture. click to tweet
It is now critical for search marketers to consider how their content is presented, consumed, and shared even before the user lands on their site. Examples of this include maps, movie listings, local listings, and product descriptions.
Since the best search results provide answers through the SERP itself, search marketers and content creators need to ramp up content, images, and calls-to-action even before a user lands on their site.
Search and Social
One of my favorite combinations over the years has been search and social media. It’s interesting to discover how search keywords and activity on your site overlap with social engagement conversions and customer support. This is not revealed through a nice Venn diagram. Usually this looks like a psychologist’s smudge experiment with various overlays of strange and unpredictable shapes.
As the great resignation continues and teams have more and more to do (with fewer resources, patience, and stamina), one way to offset that workload is to figure out ways to collaborate, draw on each other’s expertise, and do more together. , out of the SEO Silos. The top social sites for search engine optimization (and content distribution, amplification, and atomization too!) include LinkedIn, Pinterest, Medium, Twitter, and Meta (the artist formerly known as Facebook).
Pull out the quote: According to Pinterest, 444 million people around the world visit Pinterest every month for inspiration. Last year, 88% of Pinterest users bought a product as a result of their New Year’s Resolutions.
SEO, Meet Creative and Content
Content marketers and writers need to make sure the content isn’t just an “me, me, me” or “product product product” copy.
What questions does your audience need to answer? In what cadence? Where? Why? How (video vs text vs app for example)? I can promise with 99% accuracy that it is not, “Why are these SaaS tool features so delicious?”
Creativity is also critical. According to Google’s John Mueller:
Sometimes those little differences play a role in how people perceive your website. If, for example, you have something that deals with a financial topic and people come up to you and say, “well, your information is fine, but it’s presented in a way that seems very amateurish,” then that might reflect how you are. your website. perceived. And, in the long run, it might reflect something that’s also visible in search.
Poor design can lead to high bounce rates and low time on site, negatively impacting ratings. Search marketers working on their 2023 goal or to-do list might consider adding “meet the creative team” (over coffee or cocktails works!)

SEO and video
With YouTube continuing to dominate as the top search engine, optimizing videos for SEO should also be on your radar. Videos should reflect your search keywords, be carefully optimized, and reflect the sophistication of your brand, both from a creative and UX perspective.
Keep your eyes on:
- Channel trailer, video highlights and channel sections
- Channel name, description and site links
- Profile image, banner image, and video watermark
- SRT files, tags and hashtags
- Titles and headers for thumbnails
Now is the time to integrate SEO
To help you phase your efforts, start by learning what terms and topics your audience is searching for, create content that focuses on those phrases and topics, and use research to understand the highest levels of interest. Focus your content initiatives on those first.
Plus, tools like TubeBuddy, Google Keyword Planner, Google Trends, and YouTube Search Predictions will help you learn what’s working and what’s not as you integrate SEO.

If you review the basics of SEO, Congratulations! You are on the right path to position your site and attract long-term quality traffic. But there is still much to do: the time has come to explore the world of advanced seo.
To guide you through this step, in this article compartment, Google’s top 10 tips to improve your SEO. Don’t miss them! (more…)
Does User Generated Content Affect SEO? |
the user generated content (UGC)In English, “User Generated Content” or “UGC” means blog comments, customer ratings and reviews, tagged social media posts, forum posts, etc.
This type of content, which you get for free, can enrich the content of your web pages by adding new perspectives and compelling information to other readers.
But can UGC affect your organic search ranking?
To answer this question, we will see later in this article if there is a link between user-generated content and improved Google SEO.
Is User Generated Content a Google Ranking Factor?
The different types of user-generated content
UGC can be text, images, video, or any other form of content (blog comments, forum posts, product reviews…). It can be both positive and negative for your brand or business.
You can use user generated content to build engagement around your brand/website, improve your content and even contribute to your SEO efforts. Think of Amazon and the number of reviews that have contributed to its growth and notoriety.
Is UGC really a Google ranking factor?
google takes care of “user generated spam” in your Google Search Central documentation. Google explains that:
“In some cases, malicious users can spam a decent site. This issue typically occurs on sites that allow users to create pages or add content. »
Google specifies that: “If you get a warning about this type of spam, don’t worry. This usually means that the quality of your site is such that we have not deemed it appropriate to take any manual action on it. On the other hand, if your site is spammed too much, it can affect your rating, which can ultimately lead to manual action on your entire site. »
Google continues to give specific advice on how to prevent user-generated spam. But we retain above all here that a poor quality content in certain parts of your website may affect the overall site rating.
How does Google treat user-generated content?
Google indicates in this regard that it can remove or downgrade pages flooded with user-generated spam to protect the quality of their search results.
In 2020, John Mueller, Google Webmaster Trends Analyst, answered a question about how Google ranks pages with user-generated content, based on relevance and quality. Mueller explains that:
“In general, Google doesn’t differentiate between the content you’ve written and the content your users have written. If you post it to your site, we’ll see it as the content you want to post and use it for rankings. »
Mueller’s advice is that if you have a lot of user-generated contentmake sure you meet the publication standards of your website.
Regarding the links in the UGC, Mueller explains that:
“…by default, you probably won’t be able to respond to links that have been added. For these, we have a way to recognize user-generated content links via the rel=“ugc” link attribute. »
In 2021, Google released a video UGC for AdSense publishers. Again, we hear that Google can’t tell the difference between your content and UGC.
“If you don’t make sure that user-generated content meets your publishing standards…spam comments on a page can affect your site’s ranking. »can be heard in the video.
In conclusion
We know from John Mueller that Google doesn’t differentiate between the content you’ve written and the content your users have written. We already know that content is a key ranking factor for Google.
Therefore, user-generated content is a real ranking factor. Unfortunately, it can negatively affect your ranking if Google deems the content undesirable.
Don’t hesitate to create posting guidelines that encourage users to post quality content on your site. And make sure you always have control over the moderation user-generated content on your site.

Domain, subdomain or directory, which is better for SEO?
Are you going to create a blog and you don’t know if you should create it on a domain, a subdomain or in a directory? I explain each case.
When creating a blog, we are presented with many Doubts: Theme, type of content and images, professional and personal approach, update frequency…
But one of the aspects that generates the most discussion is whether we should create it in a domain different, as ING Direct does with its EnNaranja.com blog, in a subdomain as does blog.directseguros.es or in a folder or subdirectory in the domain as does mutual.es/blog
When I told you about Mapfre’s content strategy, I already told you about these examples but I didn’t go into the subject in depth.
A reader asked me and when I worked at Caser it was something we had to decide. Let’s go.
🤔 When to choose a different domain?
When you already have a website and the need arises Create a blog You have to choose the URL carefully since the success of the blog depends largely on this decision.
If you have time and resourcesand your goal is to work on the branding of the brand by dissociating yourself partly from your sector, then you can create the blog in question using another domain.
In this case, we are not looking to improve the SEO of our main domain.
This can be done in cases such as ING Direct, the BBVA already closed with Actibva.com or Movistar with its Blogthinkbig.com blog.
In this way separate service contentto be able attract customers through the blog but investing a lot of resources.
Many of these companies also have their company blog in a folder or in a subdirectory so that they choose all the options to cover all the objectives.
If you are starting from scratch and only want to have a blog, you can create the domain with your name like Enrique Dans does and add the articles directly to the homepage.
Although for this case, I prefer to follow this blog’s strategy and create a /blog, leaving the homepage to work on personal branding and making calls to action.
Everything depends on you digital marketing strategy.
🧐 When to choose a subdomain?
There is also the case of creating a blog.domain.com But as before, if we are looking to improve SEO, it would involve unnecessary duplication of effort and make everything more complicated.
We assume we already have the company website domain.com and we have to create a blog.
Companies like blog.rumbo.es (you’ll see it redirects to /blog because they changed it later), blog.tripadvisor.es (also changed it) or blog.iberiaexpress.com/ use or have used this structure.
As it concerns SEO this option is not optimal.
In these cases, I would opt for the choice of a /Blog for the reasons I mentioned earlier.
Of course, if you have a penalty in the main domain, your subdomain would be saved, so you need to consider all the possibilities.
When you have a network of blogs created by other users to whom you give web space, this may be the best solution.
Also for management issues in some cases, such as creating the private area.
You can see the example of WordPress.com which creates subdomains for each blog.
🤷🏻♂️ When to choose a folder or subdirectory?
If your goal is to create the blog for improve the SEO of the main domain it’s your option.
You have an example in Hostal Doña Isabel’s blog that uses a hostalisabel.com/blog folder.
This is also done in the same way in the delivery comparator Easyenvio.com/blog and in fact any website that knows a bit about SEO and this is its objective.
Even on this site.
The reason is that if you create another domain or subdomain, you will have to work twice as hard to position two different websites (Google considers blog.domain.com Yes domain.com different domains).
Also, creating the blog in a folder makes it gains the strength (authority) of the root domain. And of course, this choice brings to the root domain the updated, fresh and unique content that Google loves so much.
This is also the case with moz.com/blog and they do very well that way.
Some companies that join the /Blog These are https://www.territoriocreativo.es/blog, https://www.seocom.es/blog/, https://mkparadise.com/blog/.
Interesting Marketing and SEO Agencies.
☝🏼 How to never do it
As in everything, there are always people who make mistakes.
This is the case of esmadrid.com who created this mess: https://blog.esmadrid.com/blog/es/ by combining a subdomain with a folder.
The problem is that the word blog is repeated, longer URLs are created that do not follow any of the basic SEO rules current (several years ago, including a word in a URL was good for positioning).
The solution would be to leave it as is. esmadrid.com/blog and do the appropriate 301 redirects.
esmadrid.com it has a PA (Page Authority) of 82 and a DA (Domain Authority) of 79, so this potential would be transmitted to the blog (these are very high and positive values).
But in these cases, it is better to perform a SEO Audit and see the implications.
Whenever this type of domain change is done with redirects, visits drop a bit in the process and it takes a few weeks to recover traffic (if done right).
For all this you must always assess the risks and the long-term benefits with a change in these dimensions to make the right decision.
And I add that under no circumstances should you try creating different websites in different directories of style domain.com/webdecoches Yes domain.com/webdecocinas (that’s what categories are for)
This fails all SEO criteria and appearing in Google will be very complicated. In addition to the implications for a user who will understand nothing about it.
There are things you should not try to save a few euros with and this is one of them.
The fact that WordPress can be installed in folders That’s no reason to do that unless we have a website with a different CMS, we need to use it for programming reasons and we want create the blog in WordPress in the /blog.
And don’t forget to consider if you’re going to be able to handle more than one project since in most cases to want to cover a lot, nothing helps.
📋Conclusions
The first thing you should know is that if you don’t want to lose any of the possibilities offered by each of these options, you can always create multiple blogs using different domains, subdomains and folders with different themes.
This way you can create a quality link network (PBN).
But that’s not normal unless it’s a big company doing link building work in a very competitive industry.
Therefore, choose the one that best suits your needs, do it from the start and you will get a better web positioning.
And remember that if you need help to set up a website or a blog, do not hesitate to write to me.
I want to know your opinion!
Did you already know these differences? Which do you use?

Does linking to HTTP pages affect SEO? Google’s response
Google Search attorney John Mueller gave an interesting answer when asked if sites linking to HTTP pages experienced any drop in SEO.
The answer was: No. According to Müller, “there is nothing against linking to sites like these“. Although since 2014 the HTTPs protocol is a well-known ranking factor, links to insecure pages do not fail SEO. See his response in the following video.
However, users may find certain pages over HTTP to be a negative factor, and this negatively affects the experience.
To better understand, first look at the difference between HTTP and HTTPs Internet security protocols.
What is HTTP and HTTPs and are the differences between them?
Both are considered Hypertext Transfer Protocols for the Internet, which allow the transfer of data between the browser and Internet hypermedia servers, acting as standard formats of communication on the web.
The difference between the backs centers on the face on which the information is transmitted. HTTP works by sending data purely in the form of text, being susceptible to emergencies given the message path, while HTTPs has an additional layer of security called SSL (Secure socket layers) or TLS (Transfer Layer Security) that provides secure and reliable encryption to the data exchanged.
Get a sample: imagined that you put your credit card information on a website and someone manages to capture the payment halfway. This situation can easily be found on an HTTP site.
HTTPs is a ranking factor
As a consequence of the beginning of the article, Google announced in 2014 the importance of the secure transfer protocol (HTTPs) for the positioning of websites in search engine pages.
The city says: “We are also working to make the Internet more secure in general. A big part of that is keeping certain that the websites that browsers access from Google are safe. For these reasons, over the past few months we have been testing whether sites use secure, encrypted connections as a signal in our search ranking algorithms. We’ve seen positive results, so we’re starting to use HTTPS as a ranking factor.“.
Likewise, it is mentioned that Google’s intention to change the environment will be of great help for website owners to change from HTTP to HTTPs to make the web a little more secure.
So along these lines, to prevent your site from facing any penalty in this ranking factor, just direct them to HTTPs links?
According to Mueller, it is not necessary.
Is it okay to link HTTP pages?
He noted the final answer provided by Muller: “From our point of view, it’s perfectly fine. If these pages are on HTTP, that’s where they will link to. There is nothing against linking to sites like that. It’s okay if you find yourself on HTTP pages because it’s a bit old or not as interesting as HTTPS. I don’t worry about it“.
That is, there is no visible problem in linking to pages that use the HTTP protocol in SEO. In other words, Google will not penalize you for it.
However, in addition to the clear security and reliability problem of sites that use technology without the “s” at the end, it is not clear to the user if the same server from which information is requested will be the same one that delivers it.
It is important to keep in mind that as technology evolves, new forms of attack by cybercriminals also emerge. Thus, the importance of the role of professionals who work in SEO is made visible, contributing to the pages being a safe environment for the user and for the Internet.
If possible, opt for us to connect to secure sites and look for other alternative sites that may offer the same content or reference to those still on HTTP.
As an SEO strategist, you must address the user, think first about the experience they will have on your pages and keep them safe from any danger so that they are available to return again.
But how to implement the HTTPs protocol on your website?
To activate a security certificate on your website, you need to have a hosting company that offers this service.
Keep in mind that it is possible to make this purchase even with other service providers, depending on what best suits your portal.
We recommend this article for you to shop more on the subject.

Technical SEO errors that you should not forget in your SEO strategy
In any online project it is very common to see technical errorshence the importance of carrying out a complete SEO audit to detect all these optimization flaws.
There are many ways to analyze this type of error, although the different SEO tools that exist in the market and are specialized for it are mainly used, even manual reviews to detect this type of problem.
Optimizing an online project is a constant task and what is required time and peace so that it can finally give the expected results.
In this article we analyze the most frequent errors that we usually meet with our clients and that, from our own experience, we have had to live. From pages where from one day to the next they become deindexed due to changing the meta robots tag, to projects with thousands of 404 errors or with much longer loading times.
In addition, as additional content you include a Explanatory video of our YouTube channel, in most of the errors of this list so you can get more information about it.
Let’s start!
What am I going to find in this article?
URL structure
Whether your website has 100 URLs or 10,000, it’s important organize the structure of the URLs well to then be able to work correctly in internal linking and to be able to leave the positioning force between the different sections of your website.
A well-worked SEO architecture is synonymous with Google being able to crawl your website more easily, therefore, the tracking budgetalso called Crawl Budget, improve and as a consequence, we will achieve better results in the new SEO strategy.
friendly urls
In relation to the previous point, it is important to take this section into account.
Many projects do not have friendly URLs and it is important to optimize them both to make use of keywords and that these match the content of the pages, such as so that users can easily record these addresses and let’s have a good user experience.
Robots.txt
In relation to the robots.txt file we have seen errors of all kinds. Since pages blocked and that could be indexed in search enginesto settings copied from our robots.txt files on the Internet.
Generally this file is created by default if your project is created with any CMS, however, it is important to always review it to check that we are not blocking any route that we want the bot to have access to.
metabots
When we talk about meta robots we refer to the HTML meta tag as such, which serves to give indications and guidelines to the bots to indicate which pages we want to index and not.
One of the most effective ways to deindex a page is to change it to ‘noindex’. Although we can also do it from the link to google search console and in the robots.txt file, although we do not recommend doing it with the latter option.
Although it seems easy to implement this meta tag, we have seen many projects that, due to some modification, change this element without realizing it and from one day to the next we see that our project has been deindexed from the search results.
meta tags
It’s not so much a technical error, but it comes into play here important factors like CTRwhich we need to optimize so that our result gets the most clicks compared to the competition.
One of the most frequent errors that we have found with meta tags is that they are often duplicated, or even unrelated to the current content of the page.
All meta tags must be uniqueIt should contain the keyword related to the actual content, and if you can, in the meta description, include a Call To Action to prompt the user to click.
rigorous canons
It is important that all pages include the canonical tag, since this avoiding having possible duplicate content between new pages.
The canonical tag allows us to define a URL as original, so that if there are very similar pages, we can define as a canonical page that Google tends to index there.
site maps
Assuming that in the case that all the CMS on the market the sitemap is generated automatically, sometimes it is necessary to make certain adjustments for its optimization.
These adjustments go through checking that the structure of the sitemap is correct, Does not include redirected pages or pages with 404 errorsand that there are no syntax errors.
rich snippets
In relation to meta tags, using structured data for your pages can be very positive if we want Increase CTR and gain visibility in Google results.
Although Google has been constantly changing, it is important to design the main data marks that will allow you to provide more organic traffic and visibility. Among them: frequently asked questions (FAQ Page), Google position zero, review snippets, recipes, events, etc.
hreflang
If you are on the web with different languages, you must correctly implement the hreflang tag to tell Google that new pages are available in another language version.
There are multiple tools to detect that the hreflang markup is well implemented, however, in the following video you will be able to clarify all your doubts.
HTTP and HTTPS
Today Any website should have an SSL certificate. so that your pages are marked as safe and the user has a good user experience.
If we have migrated the web to HTTPs, it is possible that we already have a URL with the HTTP version behind it and, therefore, it has to be corrected.
Most of these HTTP URLs are usually images or links that have been entered manually and are therefore still in the old version. Also make sure the sitemap is up to date and all canonicals point to an HTTPs version.
Links and disavowal
I am sure that you have ever come across a project whose profile is full of spammy or low-quality links.
This implies making a review of these links so that they negatively affect the SEO of our website, and to correct it, we must disavow these links from the tool of Google disavow tool.
In the video we explain it in detail!
WPO – Load speed
Loading times are becoming more and more important for Google and they are undoubtedly a super important factor in any SEO strategy.
We have seen websites that take more than 10 seconds to load, when it is recommended that it does not exceed 2 seconds. The main reasons for this are usually the wrong choice of hosting, heavy images, compression of CSS and JS files, etc.
Our developer gives you all the keys!
preferred domain
Although it sounds very basic, many times we forget to define a preferred domain You already have aside the relevant redirects.
http://
http//www.
https://
https://www.
Among the 4 options, we must define only 1 of them, the third being the most recommended and used at the SEO level.
In case you don’t know what redirects are, we also have this video for you.
404 errors
If any of your pages does not exist or the 301 redirect that we explained in the previous video has not been done, the result will be a 404 error for Google and for the user.
To avoid this bad user experience and that Google cannot penalize us, we must always indicate a redirection to these pages, although experts indicate that redirecting 404s to the home or category page is not a good practice.
Depending on the situations, we can also apply a 410 code as long as that URL has no traffic and will no longer exist. And, if necessary, you can leave the 404 link as an error. Crazy, we know!
Responsive-UX
Devices have become the main ranking factor for Google. That means that now we will have that pay special attention to mobile versions.
If the web does not have a responsive design, not only negative for Google, but for the user, which will lead to a bad user experience and a clear disadvantage against the competition.
Parameters and pages
We finish the list with the parameters that we can often find in the URLs, or the pagination in very large lists and that can be a problem if they are not controlled, especially for ecommerce.
On the side of the parameters, these are usually checked if we use today’s CMS and establish friendly URLs, however, sometimes it is necessary to activate a parameter to be able to set certain search filters.
To avoid problems with the parameters, the first thing to do is define canonical tag on all our pages. Then, we can indicate from the Google tool or even in the robots.txt file, which parameters we want to block.
When it comes to pagination, there are multiple strategies to know when to use each type of pagination. While it is true that pagination does not help SEO, if it is not necessary for Google and the user has access to all the pages of a project.
We leave you this article where it perfectly explains everything you need to know about paginations and how to manage them effectively.
Conclusions
There is no project today that does not have room for improvement.
Therefore, periodically maintaining control of all these factors is very important if we want to be one step above our main competition.
At SEOCOM we know all these errors very well and thanks to our experience we have been able to avoid many penalties and drops in organic traffic.

SEO Strategies for Online Newspapers
Keep learning by listening to all my podcasts: https://borjagiron.com/podcasts/
we can use them
x3 pages per session
% bounce reduced by 30%
Average session duration x10
1. Infinite Item Loading
It is applied by newspapers such as:
https://www.20minutes.es/
https://www.elmundo.es/
https://www.lavanguardia.com/
They change the URL
You manage to increase the page views and the time the user spends on the web
Plugins depend on your theme and its CSS:
– Smart Scroll Posts plugin for WordPress (Updated but not working. Needs adjustments)
– WordPress Infinite Scroll by Auto Load Next Post (They will update it)
– Infinite Scroll Random Post (It hasn’t been updated for 2 years but it works just by activating it on Weekmen.com and borjagiron.com but you don’t have any configuration options)
Important: If you have something on your feet, it will not be possible to access it if you do not put a load limit.
2. Infinite Charging Racks
Marca.com and as.com and https://www.lavanguardia.com/ do this by displaying the titles of several categories
Sample house https://weekmen.com
Use the Catch Infinite Scroll plugin
Class optimization and css.
Don’t change URLs and need to add more pageviews
WITH INFINITE SCROLL

3. Show home with news at the end of each article or news
In https://www.elperiodico.com/es/sociedad/20220125/misterio-maleta-ruedas-creer-chicas-13144849 they change the homepage URL at the end of the article
You manage to increase the page views and the time the user spends on the web. You show what interests you the most.
4. Automatically reload the web from time to time to show new news but also to earn more money per impression with Google Adsense
Example: https://www.elperiodico.com
You add in the lead
With this, all pages are refreshed every 2 minutes (120 seconds)
With the Head & Footer Code plugin
Google reads this. Be careful.
Could reduce bounce rate
An obsolete plugin: Refresh Post Page WUD
The dwell time is maintained but you visit 2 pages.
Check the average time with Google Analytics and put a little less.
The user does not know much since the page is reloaded but it stays where it is in the middle or at the end.
But this removes all effects of top bars etc.
However, it can be boring if you read.
NOTICE: If you listen to a podcast or watch a video, it restarts!
5. Bar with reading time progress and title above
connect:
– Read counter – Reading time and progress bar (I add it to weekmen.com and borjagiron.com) It also adds reading time in text.
– Reading progress bar
– WP Reading Progress
– Capture scrolling progress bar
– Worth the read
Clear cache on every change.
Generates a need to fill bar effect.
6. Republish articles by changing the date
How to apply them on our sites and blogs
WordPress plugins

Advanced SEO Dictionary
CWV: Core Web Vitals are a recent initiative by Google that aims to provide a unified guide to quality signals to understand what metrics or actions we need to take to deliver a great user experience on our website.
They allow you to easily identify UX and WPO issues.
Gives us Pagespeed and Google Search Console.
Fingerprints are commands responsible for filtering the information requested from search engines in order to access more specific data. With these commands, you can find out how many URLs a domain Google has indexed (site:), find exact keyword results (“keyword”), remove words from results (-keyword), etc…
Semantic keywords are those that refer to the same subject. Ex. Car, engine, wheel… They are used to give context to content so that search engines can better understand it and, therefore, position it for the appropriate search intentions.
Rich snippets or rich fragments are sections of code that allow search engines to better understand the content of a page so that they index it correctly in their indexes and display results with specific designs. They can be used to tag reviews, articles, image galleries, lists, articles, product sheets…
The sandbox or “sandbox” is the time that elapses between the publication of a website and the moment when Google considers it to be of sufficient quality to be indexed. This means that the positioning of a website can be stopped for a while until Google checks whether or not it can offer interesting content to users.
Scraping or web scraping is a method of obtaining information from a web page using code. This code mimics the behavior of search engine crawlers to collect this data as you browse the web. This way you can easily replicate all the information from a page into a new project.
The “target _blank html” attribute is applied to links to indicate that they should open in a new tab when clicked. Thus, the user does not leave the website where the link is located, so it will not harm its positioning by reducing the time spent on it.
A topic group is how the content of a website related to a main topic in a specific URL is structured to improve its search engine positioning. Example in each article. What is digital marketing. In this way, all the SEO force focused on this main keyword is concentrated on this page and, from there, it can be distributed among the different contents that make up the thematic cluster.
The User-Agent is an element of the HTTP protocol that sends user information from a device to the server to which it connects. Thus, the site adapts to the user’s preferences to display in the most optimal way. An example is websites in languages: the user agent will inform which version to display depending on the language in which the user has configured the browser.
WPO or Web Performance Optimization is the set of actions and improvements that are carried out on a website to improve its performance by reducing the loading speed. This is very important in terms of positioning because it improves the user’s experience, favoring that he hardly has to wait to access the pages that interest him.
SILO architecture: SILO structure is an SEO architecture technique that optimizes the structure of a website, by organizing the content into silos of keywords, in order to increase the relevance of these words in the eyes of search engines.
Basically, it’s about presenting the content in a structured and orderly way.
The silo structure is based on storing content from the same theme in the same category.
Main category: Digital Marketing with SEO, SEM, Email Marketing category.
In this way, a pyramid structure of URLs is obtained, where all the pages are suspended from the main domain, from which the pillar pages derive and in each of them we will have specific articles that deal with this pillar page.
The URL doesn’t need to represent it.
Local SEO includes actions focused on positioning a business online so that customers travel to the geographic location in which it is located. For this, in addition to the usual SEO, you must have other techniques and tools such as Google My Business or local business directories.
Negative SEO includes any malicious strategy aimed at damaging the search result positions of a competitor’s website. It is considered “black hat SEO” and includes techniques such as hacking, spamming with toxic links, creating duplicate content or fake reviews, among others.
Niche SEO includes specific SEO techniques to position a website that belongs to a specific industry or topic. It is not really a sub-category of SEO but rather a business sector that is characterized by less competition, although it all depends on the choice of niche and the ability of the SEO to position themselves. rapidly.
The slug in SEO is the fragment of the URL that immediately follows the domain name, that is to say the one that is used to identify each page and entry of a website. It plays an important role in positioning as it can be configured through plugins to make it friendly to search bots including also the main keyword of that specific URL.
The text spin technique involves taking content and modifying it to make it look new and original. Different tools and software can be used to facilitate this task, which results in unnatural texts since the changes made are poor and do not bring any added value to the user.
Google BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) is Google’s algorithm that uses artificial intelligence to try to better understand the user’s search intent. To do this, it uses bidirectionality, that is, it analyzes the search words from left to right and vice versa to understand the context.
Google Fred is an algorithm that penalizes poor quality content driven by Black Hat SEO and overly aggressive advertising and monetization techniques: misleading advertisements, abuse of affiliate links, user experience issues, random and unrelated content …
A 301 redirect is used to permanently redirect from one URL to another. It is used to fix issues such as 404 errors, duplicate content, thin content, or cannibalizations. Moreover, they are also useful when it comes to revamping the structure of a website without creating broken links that harm the user experience and, therefore, the positioning.
A 302 redirect temporarily redirects from one URL to another, unlike a 301 redirect, it does not convey any SEO authority or history it may have. This is precisely because the redirect is temporary and the URL will return to its normal state at some point, which includes its authority and position in search results.
Rankbrain is a Google process that uses semantics to be able to respond to user queries more accurately. Thus, for Google, keywords are no longer just words to become entities with an understandable meaning in a context. The SEO Visibility Index is the measure that informs about the ability of a web page to appear at the top of Google search results. This is one of the main indicators to take into account to know if the applied SEO strategies are working properly. It includes clicks, impressions, CTR and average position.
Search intent is the result the user expects to find when they search on Google or any other search engine. For this reason, when preparing content for a web page, it is very important to understand the user’s search intent beforehand and try to resolve it as specifically as possible. Quality content that doesn’t solve it won’t rank well.
Google My Business is a free tool that Google makes available to companies and businesses so that they can manage their online presence both in the search engine and in Google Maps. It helps to verify a company’s ownership and add useful information for customers, in addition to having a review system that helps monitor a company’s authority and trust.
