97% of Mexican consumers plan to use the digital channel in their Good End 2021 purchases – Marketing 4 Ecommerce

The special shopping campaign with the greatest boost to eCommerce in the country, El Good End 2021, starts in a few days with a full week of offers and promotions, which implies innumerable opportunities for local businesses that take advantage of taking their sales to another level and in this edition there are many expectations because most consumers plan to buy something, especially for the digital channel.

This is how it can be seen in the Purchase Intent Report, prepared by the Mexican Association of Online Sales (AMVO), which shares important data about the probability of purchases during Good End 2021, as well as the channels where consumers will buy and the most demanded categories.

Mexicans plan to make more purchases online during Good End 2021

Among the most outstanding data of the investigation, it stands out that during the 7 days that this edition lasts, the 82% of potential consumers plan to purchase a product or service and most of them are oriented in a trend towards shopping in a way onmicanal. This is confirmed by the fact that 97% of potential consumers assured that they will be using the digital channel at some point; besides this group 3 out of 10 may make their Good End 2021 purchases online only.

At the same time, growth of online sales channels is expected due to the fact that the 32% of potential consumers indicated that this would be the first time they will make purchases online during El Buen Fin. Meanwhile, 68% have already bought online before in this campaign.

In relation to the profiles of buyers with more purchase intention, it was identified that young adults with age ranges of 18 to 34 years are the segment that most plans to buy at the event.

Main motivations to buy in Good End 2021

Among the main reasons that consumers have to make their purchases in Good End 2021, it stands out as the main take advantage of discounts and promotions in physical and digital stores (70%).

In relation to making purchases through the internet, 6 out of 10 consulted highlighted that they see as beneficial the possibility of compare prices and variety before making a purchase decision.

Regarding the expenses for this edition, it follows that 5 out of 10 plan to spend more online during this year’s editionFor their part, another 38% say they will spend the same, while 14% believe they will spend less.

Likewise, the highest budgets among those who plan to spend, above 10,001 pesos, will be allocated to the categories of Travel and Transportation, Cell Phones, Electronics and Home Appliances.

Categories with the highest purchase intention

Every year almost all the participating categories show good levels of purchase, however there are always some in which the interest of the people is more concentrated and for this occasion online shoppers plan to focus more on Fashion (51%), Electronics (50%) and Home Appliances (39%).

Payment methods and shipping preferences

In relation to the way in which they plan to pay for their purchases, it is shown that most people (63%) will use a credit card, another 43% will pay for what they purchase with a debit card while 40% will opt for digital bank cards

Secondly Home delivery remained the favorite option to access your order, according to 91% of potential buyers; while 17% assured that they prefer to pick up at the store.

Benefits of the digital channel

Apart from showing interest in buying online, the report highlights that consumers also They see in the digital channel an important tool to find out about the offers, whether they buy online or offline.

In this sense they detail that 6 out of 10 potential buyers review the offers on marketplaces What Amazon, Free market, Line, among other. In addition, 46% check the websites or app of stores and brands; while 44% consult social networks and 42% enter the official site of El Buen Fin.

Finally, it was demonstrated the enormous confidence that online buyers are acquiring since for this edition 9 out of 10 consider that the digital channel is somewhat or very safe to buy.
